Forsyth County (NC) home sales continue to rise.  There were 517 sales in April 2017, which was up from 477 in April 2016. That is an almost 8.5% increase over last year and over 65% from 2012.  Much of this is due to a great deal of qualified buyers in the market to purchase a new home and continued low interest rates.

In April 2017, the average days on the market for closed sales was 69 days. That was an improvement over last April's

Forsyth County, NC Real Estate Tax Assessments

Forsyth County (NC) recently reevaluated all properties in the county. You probably received your 2017 Reappraisal Notice recently. Real estate tax assessments can have a huge impact on property owners. Obviously, a tax appraisal determines the amount of taxes a Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Clemmons, Lewisville, Pfafftown, or Rural Hall homeowner pays yearly on their property.  If your tax appraisal is much higher than it should be, you are potentially paying thousands of dollars in taxes that you should not be paying.

SmartAsset.com has recently announced their Top 10 America's Healthiest Real Estate Markets. The healthy indicators include stability, risk, ease of sale and affordability.  Matthews was at the top of the list for North Carolina.
