What Buyers & Sellers Need to Know About the Forsyth County Real Estate Market

Hello, I hope everyone had a great April! If you're in the Forsyth County Real Estate Market, whether buying or selling, here are some stats you need to know.   

Forsyth County (NC) home sales continue to rise.  There were 517 sales in April 2017, which was up from 477 in April 2016. That is an almost 8.5% increase over last year and over 65% from 2012.  Much of this is due to a great deal of qualified buyers in the market to purchase a new home and continued low interest rates.

Forsyth County NC Real Estate Market - Average Days on the Market

In April 2017, the average days on the market for closed sales was 69 days. That was an improvement over last April's average, which was 101 days. This is due to low inventory, which infers a seller's market. Some neighborhoods are selling in less than 30 days.

Forsyth County Real Estate Market - Average Sales Price

Along with most tax appraisals, The average home sales price in Forsyth County has risen slightly as well. In April, the average sales price was $175,156. This is an increase from last month's average of $170,514, and slightly higher than last April's average of $174,418.
